Everything you need to run game servers

These features ship in the free desktop app and never require an account or internet connection. Cloud sync and team features are optional extras on top.

One-click servers

Pick a game, click create. Docker handles isolation, we handle everything else. No terminal, no YAML.

Multi-node

Manage local Docker plus any number of remote VPS agents from one panel. Switch nodes in two clicks.

End-to-end secure

Bearer tokens, self-signed TLS with fingerprint pinning, or BYO Let's Encrypt cert. No magic, all auditable.

Live console & logs

Streamed over WebSocket from local or remote nodes. Type commands, watch crashes, scroll back history.

File manager

Browse, edit, upload and download — including multi-GB Minecraft worlds streamed in chunks.

Real host stats

CPU, RAM and disk gauges per node, refreshed every 5 seconds. Know when a VPS is choking.

FAQ

Common questions

Is the desktop app actually free, or freemium-crippled?
Genuinely free, forever. Everything you see in the Free column ships in the open-source build. We don't cap servers, nodes or features. Paid tiers only add cloud-side things (sync, sub-users, relay) that physically need our infrastructure to exist.
Where does my data live?
On your machine. World files, configs, logs — all stored on the host running Docker. Paid tiers sync a tiny amount of metadata (server names, encrypted config blobs) to our cloud so you can see your servers from other devices. World saves never leave your hardware.
How does sub-user access work without me opening ports?
Your desktop app holds a persistent WebSocket to our cloud while you're online. Sub-user actions are relayed through that connection — no inbound firewall changes needed on your side. Sub-users see exactly the servers and actions you give them permission for, with every action logged.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, immediately. Your subscription stops at the end of the current billing period, and the app downgrades automatically. Sub-users lose cloud access; you keep everything you ever ran locally.
What if my internet drops?
Local servers keep running, untouched. You just lose the cloud sync and sub-users until you come back online. Free-tier users never depend on the cloud at all.
What's different about LocalForge?
Most game-server panels are web apps targeted at multi-tenant hosting providers. LocalForge is a native desktop app for the operator running things themselves — locally on a PC, on a personal VPS, or both at once. Cloud collaboration is opt-in: free users stay 100% offline if they want.
